Holy ****. What timing. I know I haven't been doing Flash since I was a teenager, but I am surprised to find Mark checking back at just about the same time I am....
Well, I am happy to say I've finally started making money with computer graphics. I know I used to make those funny ecards and whatnot (a cartoon I made about getting crabs comes to mind), but it took so much time and I wasn't getting paid much, so eventually I found my way into 3D graphics. That has worked out quite nicely for me. I still work a day job but I managed to get my at home income to about 700$ a month so far. Not too shabby. But I still would like to try something else. Thinking about photography. Just bought a nice camera with some of the money I've been making. An Olympus PEN.
It feels weird coming back here after so long. It was like 2000, 2001 when I was last hanging around much. A lot has changed since then. Added a few inches to the waistline...but let's no go there.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Glad to see Flashkit still exists. I even put the fact I was a moderator for the that flash text editor thingee on my resume. I think it helped in getting my current day job with a local web marketing company. Anyways, I won't bore you any more with my life story, so cheers for now.
Likewise, I am checking back in for the first time in... 8 years? Likely no one remembers me, but I remember MarkP and Planet. Fun to see those names again! Hope to see you at the next reunion in 2020!
Sounds like to me it's a place for long lost Flashkit members to say they are back. Oh yeah, I guess I'm back too. It's been about 7-8 years for me as well. Since then I've had two more kids, lost my hair and officially hit middle age. But at least I'm back doing Flash.
