2advanced typeface?

Does anyone know what font is being used on the 2advanced site? You see this font everywhere...

There's a member on FK who has a link to that font in their footer. Can't remember who it is, but look around at footers and you'll find it.

yeah the member is iforgotmypassword. he has posted it in the fk fonts. it's called 2advanced actually.

I'm sure that 2advanced font looks just like a font I have on my mac. I think it's called"Blair" or something. Not sure though, will check it out.

I don't suppose anyone has noticed the similarity between this font and the Bitstream font Bank Gothic Light have they? The font Id is even the same and the embedded info hasn't even been changed! Hopefully no one will inform Bitstream...

observation:

why does everyone say "the 2 advanced this" and "the 2 advanced that" as if by miracle, the this's and that's haven't been done before?

the credit 2 advanced gets for alleged pioneering, earth-shifting new things always amazes me.

There seems to a whole bunch of similar fonts, one
in FlashKit called "2advance".

But I think it is 'Bank Gothic lt BT'

there are a ton of them... a TON. you're right it could be the bg lt.. or sevenet, or any number of pixel fonts.

the 2A font that Eric had used on his site is much different to the one that is posted here on FK. As you can see on his site, the A isn't pointed up at the top, aa you can see here:

However, the font here on FK has got a pointed A and it looks very much like the font called Bankgothic.

If you download this font and open it up in a font editor such as Fontographer you will see the words:
Copyright 1990-1993 Bitstream Inc. All rights reserved.
The font IS Bank Gothic Light, this not open to debate.
