Fade in/out

Hi,

Ive been searching the forums and im unable to find exactly what im looking for.
Im making an interactive menu in flash, i need to make a series of fade in/outs on the different pages i have in flash.

Lets say i press a button labeled ''Video Options'' The page will fade out, and the video options page will fade in.

What kind of fadeout/fadein? Black ,white or transparent? Do you want to make it with actionscripting, or it can be with tweens?
