resolved [RESOLVED] SWF image merge nicely into image

    Hello all,

I'm looking to try out KoolMoves and as I'm not the sharpest knife in the draw, I thought I would ask a question first before spending hours in front of the stove.

Can KoolMoves do the SWF image transitions (think that's what it's called) that you see below the header here:

Looks like you want to fade-out one image while another image fades-in at the same place. Yes, there are several ways to do that in KoolMoves. On simple way is to:
1.) Open KoolMoves then save file in the same folder where your photos are located,
    2.) Import two photos,
    3.) Select one photo,
4.) Effects>Fade/Size>Final fade out (click OK till your done),
    5.) Select the other photo,
6.) Effects>Fade/Size>Initial fade in (click OK till your done).

Thank you Traveler2. It does work but having each image last 3 seconds the fade stretches out over the 3 seconds. How would you get the fade to do say in one second and then the photo remain visible for 3 seconds before moving onto the next photo.

At the bottom right of KoolMoves is an icon of a clock. You can click on that and make the number smaller. If that number is in tweens you can change it to be in seconds. Then do the same thing to each of your other Key frames (by using the slider at the bottom or pressing the PgDn key).
Having to changing things frame by frame be a lot of work, especially if you have many slides.
But luckily there is a much easier scripted way of doing this type of thing:
    Objects>Add Component>Slide Show / Revolving Images
Sorry I did not remember it till now.

Well, I'm not getting anywhere Traveler2 and so perhaps you can help this not so bright with computers old grandmother out further.

As I see it for merging fade in and out for 3 images I need 3 of each image:

    image1 0.5 seconds initial fade in - over this many = 1
image1 3.188 seconds (no fadin or out)
image1 0.5 seconds final fade out - over this many =1

    image2 same as image1
    image3 same as image1

This way is getting too hard. Try switching to the other more automatic approach.
    1.) Start over again with
    File>New.
(by clicking on the "File" menu at the top left, then clicking "New.")
    2.) Go to
    Objects>Add Component>Slide Show / Revolving Images.
(The arrow cursor will turn into a "+" plus sign.)
3.) Click and drag out a rectangular area in the place you want your slide show to be.
(A window will appear for setting your slide shows properties.)
4.) Click on "Content," then click on "..."
(A window will appear for adding content.)
5.) Click on the "+" icon.
(A window will appear for adding a slide and setting its fade in/fade out timing.)
    6.) Click "Ok"
7.) Repeat step 5 and 6 until you have added all the slides you want and set their fade times.

Thank you so much Traveler2, that was so easy with your instructions.

One final question. How to produce the swf without the control bar? What I'm after (not a family album) with my small project is the swf will be part of a web site page when I master the css and divs.

To get rid of the control bar:
1.) Double click on your slide show.
2.) In the properties window, Set Skin to: NoControls.
