SportsNation Polls

Hi - I've very very very new to flash, but would like to have a website with poll questions. I would like the questions to show up like the SportsNation Polls. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls I would like to have the answer come up with the percentage, bar graph and map just like the one on the site. I've seen several ways to make a poll but not with the answer displayed that way and with the map which I think is the best part. Please help.

Thank you. This is helpful, does it drawing the percentage from a database I need to create? What I’m really interested in is the map on the sports nation poll. Do you have any ideas on that?

If you want to have a real voting poll, then yes, you'll then need to create a database to store all the votes and consequently display the percent pulled out from the database.

What part of the map are you interested in? The map drawing, the parts of it getting colored, the popup for each state, or the voting displayed in the popup for each state?

I really like the entire map. With colors, and voting dislayed for each state.

Find a map from Google, draw the lines over it in Flash to create your own map, fill all the states/cities, convert each fill (i.e. state or city) to a button, give it an onRollOver event, make a poll movieclip become visible and use my code to show the results in that movieclip. If you want to pull out the results from a database, then it gets a lot harder. Sorry, but I don't have the time to do all that for you, you'll just have to start on your own and ask for help if you're stuck on something.
