Update Dynamic Text

Hey,

Does anyone know how i update some text?

I have a piece of text called "actype" and its initial value is "Test"

onPress of a button inside a sprite I want it to read "Another Test"

The text is set to be "Dynamic Text"

This is the code inside the sprite


on (press) {
_parent.actype.text = "Another Test";
}


I cant sweem to get this working, can anyone help?

Hi,

It's pretty slow around these parts for swish users.

Here is what I suggest to take things to the next level.

1 Attach your .swi
2. Specify which version of the product you are using. I'm pretty sure "sprites" were done away with in Max3 when we went to the standardized name "movie clips"

3. Post on the swishzone forums as well. There is much more traffic for swish users so you are likely to get a faster response there.
