movie clips don't show up when I put my .swf online?
Hi guys, I hope you can help me with this frustrating problem i'm having.
I'm currently working on an interactive game using real footage, ie .flv files, embedded (if that's the right word) in movieclips. using very basic actionscript, clicking on different areas of the screen moves the movie clips on and off the stage by changing their co-ordinates.
everything works fine when I test the flash movie on my computer, both in flash cs5 and when ive exported the movie.
when i upload the .swf to somewhere like megaswf.com, the movie clips do not appear.
i am using actionscript 3.
any idea what i'm doing wrong? thanks in advance !
what is the file size of your swf file?
Try Checking your URL in your Component inspector
It sounds like it may be an issue with how you linked the file. The FLV Playback that you use to play the FLV still needs the source Movies. I have had an issue where the address the FLVPlayback is looking for is hard-coded to a folder on my computer rather than a relative path from the .swf file. If I were you I would check out the component window in your FLV and make sure the path does not have a long address.
