New to Flash: Want to Make Simple Games
I used Flash briefly about 10 years ago when it was Macromedia Flash 4 and 5.
I'm now coming back to it as I want to make some simple 'one screen' games.
The games will be based on one activity such as:
- pairs
- moving a 'character' with the arrow keys (up and down) so that it hits other moving objects
- using the mouse to click on objects that are moving around on the screen
It sounds pretty simple but how hard will it be for someone with very little Flash experience to implement?
Would I be better off hiring someone to do it for me? If so how much would one game cost for a developer on somewhere like Odesk or Elance?
Can anyone please recommend any Youtube tutorials or books that could get be up to speed?
Thank you very much.

I would pay $25 for a month subscription to Lynda.com and you can have access to several different flash lessons. They have tutorials on how to build several games. If you get a premium membership, you can download the exercise files.
lynda.com is a great resource. I would also suggest snorkl.tv for some good flash techniques (not game specific, but great for enhancing your flash).
