    .dat/xml files

    hi, there is this flash game that i play (uses adobe flash player) and i want to read the .dat files which i have found within the game. When i open them in word/notepad, there are weird symbols like

    yeah. i've read that if you know what program opens the .dat file, you can read it's properties but i don't know so can someone help me?
