Descrambling random changing numbers/letters to make words

I'm trying to figure out how create a flash animation where you have a bunch of random numbers/letters constantly changing and then have words spelled out of the random numbers and letters. I've seen similar things done before in ad banners on the web but I have no idea how to even search for that. Does anyone know of any tutorials that shows how to do this or how I could even google it?

Heres one i conjured up, it can probably be done a lot better but it works and can be played around with, I will be working on it also.

its CS6 , but the swf is there too.

That's pretty cool, I think it might work. Is it possible to slow down the scrambles at all or maybe add a blur to them? Can you put the descrambled words anywhere and can you have multiple words descramble?

Hi,

Remastered, although still probably not the best way of coding it.

Now you can change the word, albeit as of yet, needs to be 6 letters long (or less/more if you alter some code)
you can alter the start position, it has blur and slightly slower(frame rate).
