button animations

I'm trying to do a button animation, so I made an internal movie clip and stuck it in the over state of my button but it is not playing, is there anything I'm forgetting

It won't play within the authoring environment. So, if you were enabling buttons, and it wasn't working, thats why. Try testing it using ctrl+enter. If it's still not working, make sure your hit state covers the entire area of the button, and ensure the internal movie clip doesn't have a stop action in the first frame or anything. Thats just what I could think of off the top of my head.
