Can I extend the time of the "Down" when making Button?

I have googled this question and can not find the answer anywhere, hoping to get some help!

I am creating a flash game, and I have created multiple buttons in the 1 frame. When you mouse "Over" I have made them highlight, but when you click the button for the "Down" animation it last almost a millisecond unless you hold your mouse clicker down over the button.

When you click "Down" is there anyway to extend the time for an animation? I want the "Down" click to last atleast 5 seconds.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

You would probably need to make movieclips instead of buttons.

here is an example to mess around with, it's CS5
