Hi,

The latest version of Flash only does AS3 I believe.
You will either need to convert it to AS3 or use a lower version of Flash, CS6 allows AS2 and AS3 to be used.

Hi,

You could use a hitTest with some sort of background to check the mouse is over a selected area.

Or your mousewheel like at these
