Mini Golf game help

Hey guys i am a beginner to Actionscript 3.0 and recently have been working on a mini golf project for my year 12 Information Technology class

as seen in the tittle i need some help here with my mini golf game

i am having trouble making the ball move to the direction of the cursor when its clicked

or

a way that i can pull back the mouse from the ball making a line appear showing the power (longer the line more power) then when clicked it would head in the lines direction

if anyone could help me that would be great would really appreciate it i am struggling here

I has something like that in this thread. There was a cannon shooting in the direction of mouse when clicked.
