    Reading XML file from SWF not working anymore in offline mode

    We have got a few demos using a Flash "framework" which loads an XML file where elements to be included in the Flash are listed. Those demos are still working fine on our website, see one sample here http://www.procase-elearning.cl/Demo...01/course.html.

    The issue is that since one of the latest Windows Update our guys in charge of creating and maintaining those demos are not able to run them locally. We used being able to open up the main html file from a browser, for example"file:///D:/bei/M01/course.html", and see how it looks like and run the script. We are thinking it is an OS issue as we tried on different browsers with the same result. We've got a couple of machines where the Windows Update hasn't run and opening up the main file works fine and the Flash is loading the XML file and the corresponding files.

    PS. We're aware that we should move away from Flash to HTML5
