Question how long will this place stay online?

what do you think? it's now less than 4 years left before flash player penetration will hit 0. by then, air might or might not die as well, but this place was never air-oriented any way. I guess there will be little point to keep this running from $$ perspective. some other places from flashkit era already pulled the plug. so, how long do you think this one will drag on?

Until the very end... or until HTML5 can do it all without JavaScript.

AS3 was at least part of the runtime. It was how it handled scripting. In the "HTML5 is the future" hype, it was supposed to replace all of the stuff that Flash gave you. Last I checked jQuery isn't HTML5. So... what's your point?

My point, of course, was that without scripting flash is only good for cartoons.

If you're going to talk about
    > how it handled scripting

I can just show you Keith Peters complaining that he lost hundreds of codes because of it. And I still remember all those bricks laid down by people over as2-as3 transition, so not a good point with js, noone ever complained about typescript or es6 classes
