Multiplayer Trivia Game?

Hi! I was thinking of creating a multiplayer trivia game. After checking out different possibilities, I decided to see if Flash would be able to do this. I don't know anything about Flash, so please help me out here.
First of all, obviously, is multiplayer gaming possible in Flash? Would I be able to create a chat room in Flash? Also, the questions themselves are going to be stored in some sort of a database (I don't see any other way). Does Flash have the ability of accessing server-side databases?
Is my project, in the end, possible with Flash?
Any help would be appreciated...

As Yahoo Messanger, flash app can refresh for data every second. With this you can simulated a two-way connection.

Yes, it is possible to use server-side database. You can use ASP and PHP3 among others..
I guess it's down to what you prefer to program if speed isn't the issue..

Is it possible to make online multiplayer games etc.. using flash and scripts using freenetname as the host??? If not please give me a free server which will serve this purpose.

Have you ever made any games with Flash before?
If not i suggest you learn first before you attempt something like that.
