I have another idea. It doesn't concern me yet but eventually I will get 500 posts and will want to change my user title. I think it would be great if this was done through your profile instead of emailing whoever is in charge of it. Just an idea.
I was thinking the same thing...though a small suggestion, it would be more effecient...and I bet the smart guys at FK, could do this very easily. You could also say the same with the little 50 X 50 image below your name.
Well, when the whole "500 hundred posts equal custom title" thing started I thought it was for quality posts...half the people who have one probably do not deserve it. Hence, it was no big deal to give who ever an e-mail. Also once you get that many posts you could put something vulgar and would just be yet another thing for someone to "moderate"...the less governing the better...

For one, I don't see how anyone can't deserve it. It is just a title, meaningless really. And as for people puting vulgar things in the title...you could say the same thing for people putting vulgar things in messages or in thier footer. Still, not many people do it. I really think you are taking this a bit too far. It is a simple suggestion, that will most probably make things a bit more effecient...I see no way that this could posibly be negative.
If we do allow the Users to change there own status then it'll go hay wire - it'll be done b4 500 etc, and they'll get stupid and vulgar with them
However
If we dont it means more work for the Admin
Now a title is nothing - its just a sign of individuality.
The way it should be done is that the mods who are on the boards elect when a persona can have a staus change cause they think he/she deserves it for what ever forum he/she uses most!
as to creating them before 500, maybe the feature would be "locked" until you reach 500 posts. sort of like a closed thread that opens when you reach 500
