Hi folks. Reading through these boards for the past couple months I've seen you time and time again warn against overusing transparency in flash movies. Well I figured "Ahhh how bad can it be? I'll just use a bit."

    Well.... my mistake!

Anyways here's my question: Will lowering the transparency from 50% to say 25% increase performance at all? I'd just like to know before I go ahead and change my whole site. Thanks in advance!

personally i dont so. If its a pic, it will allways be a pic, just maybe you cant see it that will, it wont reduce the size of thepic in anyway. Thats what i think, but i dont know.

No it's not a bitmap, I'm not concerned about the size as much as the performance. See I think there's too much transparency and motion happening all at once so it really slows down the movie... It gets all choppy etc.
Would reducing some of the transparency fix that at all? Or will I have to just cut out a lot of it completely and attempt to use tint instead?
