If you are using flash 4 you can do this with the Publish command. Just go to File>>Publish Settings, click on the HTML tag and in the first dropdown select the appropriate setting (click on info for what each one does...then publish (not export) your movie

I love flash, I really do.
But I Atill have to deal a lot with browsers that dont have it, and slow connections, so I was just wondering inf anyone has developed a JScript function to simplify the process of showing a movie. (perhaps asp code) I like using aftershock but I want a function that does the following. I want to use flash as buttons and banners, so flash html coding wont do.
1.-check if there is the flash plugin and the current version
2.-if its correct load the movie.
3.-If its not, show an image.
Thats it. if you see it that way
is an if then else function.
P.s. Im using dreamweaver can I do this directly?

ummm i thought you could do tht straight
from flash, i know for a fact.
i read somewhere some book out of the 10 million that i have where you can have flash itself check for plugin and if its not there load a jpeg or something like that.
