Thread: Usable screen resolution

  1. #1
    Here is my question...

I know how to account for different screen resolutions, but I have seen somewhere a chart of some kind that gives you the actual usable screen resolution for the most popular resolutions available...for instance

A screen size of 640 X 480 will allow a designer to use 500 X 300 of the screen for graphics if you take into account the size of the browser and the toolbar...

Does anyone know where I can find this chart, or one simmilar to it...

    Thanks

    hello chuke.

well last time this question was answered mg33 posted this very useful artifcle from webmonkey sizing up the browser. has a chart for mac and pc and of the common browsers.

i usually use joen's article in his turtleshell guide. here's a direct link to the printable version.
