i am using a flash file in a page where there are rollovers on dreamweaver buttons and i am getting screen flicker when i roll over the buttons in ie - it is ok in netscape, does anyone know how to resolve this?

Well don't use Dreamweaver...
Why not use a better program like GoLive.
Pietaster.

Dreamweaver is very good though!

Rather than debate the characteristics of either DreamWeaver or GoLive (both very good at what they do. I have a personal favorite, but who cares?), let's look at your problem.
Netscape and IE use different plug-ins to view Flash movies. It may be that IE's activeX components are out of date. You may want to download the latest from Microsoft's site.

P.S. If that doesn't do it, maybe you should explain what steps you took in embedding your movie. In DreamWeaver, there are two objects in the object palette; Insert Flash and Insert Shockwave. You need to use the Insert Flash object to place your Flash movie on the page.
