what are the best materials for learning flash?

for a designer who is pretty new to flash but wants to master it. can anyone recommend resources, classes and/or procedures?

Hi Rolo, there's some great Tutorials here at Flashkit linked at the top. You can also go to the movie section and download .fla files and open them up in Flash and see how they all work. There's also plenty of resources over the Net. Here's a few..

There was a thread earlier today saying that Barnes and Noble were offering a free Flash 5 course starting Feb 12th. It would be worthwhile perhaps you signing up for that.
