Heya.
i found this great tool on the web the other day... you can optimise your bitmap files and convert them to swf, so they are made up of loads of tiny circles or some other shape, so the file size is TINY and the image is scalable!

how do i convert my bitmap graphics to vector?

Hi and welcome to the boards

You can import them into Flash and trace them

ill move this to the design & graphics board

Hi oktober -

In Flash, you have an option called Trace Bitmap, which will allow you to convert bitmaps to vector-based art.

Try Adobe Streamline! It's specifically designed to turn a bmp into vector shapes- I used it and it was actually a bit crappy though
