Button Trouble

I've got an object(key)button but its area is too small. So i added a new layer and created a box button(alpha = 0) over the key. The problem is how do i link the box button to the key button? I've tried masking but it doesn't work.

You don't need the other button (the one with alpha), on the little button just edit it and in the "hit" put a big black square on top of the whole thing this will be invisible and will set the clickable area of the button, you can put all kinds of cool shapes in this frame, it's whole purpose is just to set the clickable area and is never seen, except when you edit the button.
