help with photoshop

My define pattern wont work in photoshop, whats going on? any help will be appreciated...tia

I guess you might be doing scan lines or a grid??

what you need to do is select your pattern (ctrl+A).
Edit>Fill> and in the Contents-Use (drop down), click pattern.

FIRST-
Make sure if your filling into another PSD file that is now highlighted and the new layer to fill is highlighted.

then-------Click OK.

Should be it.
