I really like this site but wouldn't it be better if you cut down on adding so many new sections like 'gallery' and my flahskit and just made the whole thing run much faster?

Yes...i agree but you need new stuff to stay in competition with the rest(authough FK is so far ahead i don't think it matters anymore).
But i do think u guys need an u/g for your server!
