    Hi:

This is version #3 of my first portfolio and my first all Flash site, and i'm only about 4 days into it, but since i've decided against the previous versions, i'd like some early feedback on this one, if you please.

There isn't any content yet. I've just roughed out the layout, color scheme, etc. I will be adding two more audio tracks, with the customary "mute" button.

There are a couple smaller graphics hidden offstage for future use, so it is a little heavier than it appears. Realistically, what you see is a little under 100k, and the audio file, is about 70k, but is streamed a couple of seconds after the main movie loads. The preloader is very basic and temporary. I will spruce it up after the site is about 75% finished.

So, what do you think so far?

Looks very good, nice modern and clean interface. Maybe change the audio-flie, because I don't think it is appropriate for a portfolio, maybe something more dynamic would be better?
Apart from that, this looks like a perfect start!

Thanks for your feedback. I have two other loops already picked out, that I will add sometime this week I suppose. I wouldn't exactly call them dynamic, but they are a little more upbeat.

I'll be adding content this week, and might repost by the weekend.

Thanks to both of you for your feedback. I really like the interface, layout, and colors, but I was beginning to wonder if anybody else did as well...nobody seemed to be responding to the post, so I was getting a little paranoid.

Anyway, your comments are noted and appreciated.

Yea, I like this one a lot better too. The others were a feeble attempt at being different. This one, however, is more corporate--safer, yet not stuffy, or like every other site on the net--at least, I think so.

Thanks for your input. It was feedback from this forum that helped me be more objective, and ultimately led me to abandon the other efforts for this one, which I think is an improvement.

very slick! I personally like the soundtrack, it's mellow...but maybee that's just because I'm feeling mellow right now. Very nice colours, and very clean. I wanna see the buttons for navigation do something. I can't wait to see that one finished.

Me too. I'm working on adding more animation to the entire page. I've just started the primary transitions, like the fade in on the header, and I hope to come up with a subtle, functional rollover action for the navigation.

I can't wait to see that one finished.

Thanks again. Your input is appreciated.
