Loading external image/text from XML - HELP!

The most actionscripting I've ever done is programming buttons, that's it. I'm a total newbie to this and really, programming any kind of language is not my forte. I can stare at examples on the web on how to do this for hours and still have no clue what it's doing or how.

I need help please. I just bought Flash 8 and want to do the dynamically loaded images/text into the SWFs using a XML file. I've seen this done and love it, but have no idea how to do it. I've looked at countless tutorials and source code, but still have no idea what is going on.

Can someone please tell me how (simply) or write me a very simple external content loader? I know you use the loader component for the images and the text fields for the text, but how to hook them up so that the XML file talks to them is beyond me. (I've looked at examples of XML files that do this, so I understand how that part is done, just not how to hook it up to the SWFs.)

    Thank you!!!!

    Hi and welcome.

Your first post and here are the forum rules:

You simply need to learn XML. Either check one of the flashkit tutorials about a photogallery and XML or check this (not a photogallery though):
