Help creating a sticky Tar effect with Flash 8.

Hi there. Does anyone know of a simple way to create a Tar like effect with Flash? I would like to create a file with Tar dripping from a car as it drives. Any thoughts? I would like to avoid animating frame by frame obviously!

    Thanks guys in advance,

    smenga

I don't know of any tutorial, but you can achieve this effect with the Tween and easing classes.

Thanks cancerinform. Could you elaborate a bit please? Is there an example of this anywhere that you have seen? Thanks for the help!

    cancer inform is correct-

this is the solution you will need to animate that properly without doing it by hand. There are other 'animation' engines that make use of tween classes in flash.

I assume your looking for a tar 'drip' - this will mean you will need to animate stretching and y+ movement... look into the tween classes indefiently.

    edit:

its not going to be simple and easy. You could animate the tar drips and place them dynamically with actionscript, that might be an easier solution.
