    Hi all.

does anyone have any pointers on keeping fonts crisp? I find some fonts become blurry in certain screen rez's.

Depending on the font, you can edit whether the font is static or dynamic. If it is dynamic as seen on my site http://marcus.gcn.cx "Become part of the growing community at GCN!!" is dynamic. To get this go to TEXT,OPTIONS, TEXT OPTIONS tab, then select DYNAMIC.

Your best bet is to use a very readable sans serif face since they tend to look better on screen than serifs, unless you plan on using a serif face at a large size.

I read somewhere that it's best to make sure your text boxes don't sit on decimal positioning. For example, if your text box rests at 30.3 and 90.7, round off the numbers so they sit at 30 and 91.

Also keep in mind colour contrast. Black text on a white or yellowish layer is much more readable than blue text on a green background.

you can also download some pixel fonts, so you can be sure that the font will display the same on all computers. remember to follow the guidelines on how to use the fonts.

    here's a few tips:

(this goes for the fonts awailable from the orgdot site, and some, if not all on the miniml.com site)

the fonts must be set to exactly 8 pixels (or multiples of 8) - and that goes for ALL of them. (If you use photoshop, you must turn off antialiasing completely - and that means completely no crisp or strong or whatever). In flash any textfield must be set on round XY coordinates, that is whole pixels (not 13.7 but 14.0 etc.). If you are using dynamic of input txt, remember to embed the font.

    and some links:

    http://www.miniml.com

    hope this helps
