i have some images with transparencies -gif - but when i put them in powerpoint, they show white where the transparency should be?

have you tried a transparent .png...

i know i had some problems with this when i was doing a PP presentation... i don't think it recognizes transparent backgrounds.

essentially what i ended up doing was filling in the background with the slide colour... which thankfully was black. it's going to suck if you're using a patterned bg.

    good luck!

yeah tried png too. Actually it is my client who i am doing a website for who is doing this. He says that it has worked in the past with transparencies, but its odd when working with clients - it's difficult to know exactly what they are doing, and also if they are confused about things.

    Thank you.
