    Pixel Font Question!

    I am using one of those beautiful Pixel fonts
    but when I view it on the web it looks blurred!

    When I test the movie in flash it looks great!
    I even have the text box placed at a perfect pixel.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Oh ya one other thing can you use them at other than 8 point size?

    Thanks In Advance!

    all pixel fonts have a designated point size... most are 8 pt.... but some are 10, 11, even 22 pt. The 8 pt fonts you can usually use in multiples of 8 such as 16, 24 etc...but they do not looks great. as for your problem... did you embed the font?... are you using it in dynamic boxes?.... if you are using it as static text.. that may be your problem...otherwise...if it's in a mc within an mc... make sure BOTH are on a whole pixel and you have not stretched the textbox at all.. easiedst way to do that is to select it, and choose Modify-->Transform-->Remove Transform

    \hope that helps

    Ok so I have tried that, not much of an improvement.

    So you are saying pxl fonts that start at 10pt or higher are better quality than 8pt, Where can I get great Pixel Fonts?

    Thanks

    I got the same problem like u and this is how I solve the problem.

    There are many different pixel font types. Some of them are designed especially for Flash. (For more info and free font download, see FontsForFlash) If u use these font type, u would save time and dun need to further edit the text. But if u insist to use your own type, there are still ways to go.

    How to work out
    ============
    1. Select the text tool
    2. Choose the font type and the size of the font
    3. Type the text (not matter whether it is sentence or paragraph)
    4. Find the Properties panel and adjust the X, Y position** of the text box

    ** There is a rule. Make sure X and Y position of the field is whole, and doesn't have an extra integer. It's important!!

    5. Press Ctrl+Enter in Windows System to test and see the movie

    Tips
    ====
    1. I would personal advice not to transform the text box, this would only make things worse.
    2. Try to select the font type and font size before you type the text, this helps!!!

    It may sound strange to edit the text box position to give a perfect type, but it works for me. Try yourself!!!
