font problem in flash mx 2004

I'm using Flash MX 2004.
The Issue: Text smooths instead of staying crisp.
I've read a few different things about text...
Here's what i've heard:
Aliasing SMALL text can only be seen in flash player 7? *meaning seeing CRISP instead of SMOOTHED text* correct???
Also, Flash smooths text that does not lie on an integer, x,y
ex. if text lies on, 10.8, 10.3 FLASH WILL SMOOTH
ex. if text lies on 10.0, 9.0 FLASH WON'T SMOOTH

heres the weird part. i've gotten my text to be crisp and clean on the website now however it goes against what everything i've read said.

such as, some of the text had to be aliased, some anti-aliased, some on whole number coords, some not. otherwise theyd be smoothed


can anyone explain this?
