Flashy living-room
Want to design a living-room in Flash that enables viewers to pick up pieces of furniture from a menu and arrange them in a room. The viewer clicks a post-it button that enables the webmaster to view the results of the arrangement.
My question: Can it be done entirely in Flash, if so, what action-script commands would be needed?
Thanks for your input.

How exactly would the webmaster view the results? Through email?
And yes it can be done.

What would be ideal is that a jpg of the arrangement is outputted out.
Question: Is it easier programming-wise to store the result of this interaction in a data bank instead of it being sent out as an e-mail, if so, just a tip so that i start learning the commands?

ok now, first, use drag and drop on all sorts of things.
//First get a big fat menu of stuff, (Even including room style(u know what the shape of the room is)) create it in 3D.
//Second create those stuff, i don't care how u do it, just create them. 3D or something.
//Third, find AS for all the stuff, create startDrag(MC); AS on all of them.
//Fourth, get an AS from the tutorials that create an image of the screen, pack it into an email and send, or should say SAVE onto the webmaster's harddrive.
//WALLA//
//Fifth, I really don't know what to do next, but i find your idea interesting.

anyone eles who want some basic flash stuff done, you can ask me, but i am quite a beginner, i trust in truth, but i also lean on luck... I got some very stupid flash done with heavy AS and it turned out to be A old man leaning on a stick, scraching himself, while it's eyes looked at the cursor... Well, the cursor also can change from a pointer to em/... custom cursors..... and... em... er... nothing eles.

A FLA would be better. I am looking for an ISOmetric view of the room, surrounded by dropdown menus with kitchen furniture categories (base modules, wall modules, tall modules). A working session would be: ONselecect from a dropdown menu (did I mention that each dropdown menu row should be a short description text + an isometric icon of respective module?) the isometric icon sticks to mouse cursor, then placed in scene with click and snap. And so on.
Somebody posted such FLA in this forum but I can't remember who.
Cheers

... you can only use drag and drop in my way, but i believe in others in the tutorials.

yea, this will be it, get a variable for the mouse,
when u click on the icon, change the variable into the icon(shape of furniture), when you click it next, the icon automatically duplicate itself...
Man i am a genious...
