Also where do you guys get the time to blog??
i swear its me but either im living less hours then the rest of the world or you guys only need 2 hours sleep. blogging- i just dont get it. why would someone want to write a journal online? and where would they have the time to do it. with work and living.
maybe i need to reorganise. but i cant be arsed.

blogs are the single most boring concept in the world to date. Nobody who has time to write blogs has time to do anything interesting to write in blogs

Totally agree... but one thing thats worse... these stupid whereareyounow/myplace type sites that no one really gives a crap about... and yet they email me about 10,00000 a day telling me that some "friend" wants me to join them.
I seriously don't care! I'd rather join my friends, down the pub.
I keep adding all these emails to spam lists, in the hope they'll automatically be blocked one day!

meh. the FEC (federal election committee) has made it official... bloggers are journalist. so take that!

Some people want to share thoughts with other people and probably have a job that requires a computer or work at a place where a computer is present. Not saying that blogging during company time is smart but ehhh, it happens all the time. Blogging is not that far away from posting on threads anyway.

Yea, half the people I get those from I seriosly dont even know who. Seems like every month that goes by, some 'company' has found some ingenious way for everyone to stay in touch ...
Makes me wonder if the people who make those sites ever had friends :S

i keep updating my blog for two reasons: 1) it's part of my 'learn to write better by writing more' strategy, and 2) i'm basically archiving some old stuff for friends (my darkroom skate photos, and soon music from the bands we were all in). my blog is not a diary - the closest i come to that is the reviews of stuff i use. i don't think anyone cares, but it gives me something write about.
oh, and reason #3 is because i'm learning about server-side stuff, mySQL/PHP/Etc, and my 'blog project' is a vehicle for that - even though i'm just modifying stuff, it's a start.
be careful with your absolutes swampy and marcus...only a sith deals in absolutes
