    stoooopid domain/DNS question >>

Say i buy a hosting package and a domain that comes free with it, call it domain "A" then weeks later i transfer 3 other domains ("B", "C" and "D") over to the same registrar and host as "A".

so all 4 domains under the same host and registrar but the main site and physical space is assigned to "A", how hard is it change it so the main site and all the webspace is assigned to say "C"?

so instead of the index page being www."A".com/index.php its www."C".com/index.php

Is it just a matter of changing the DNS settings of "C" to match what's currently set as "A"?

or is it a bit more involved than that?

If you have a virtual server the first one must maintain the same ip
The rest of them can be switched. This is neccesary to maintain any type
    of control over all accounts.

Not sure how your hosting package works but you can have as many domains as you like pointing to the same site. Basically, DNS setting can have them all pointing to the same server. You can then set that server up to respond to requests for A,B and C in the same way.

If you're on a windows server and you have access to the machine (not a web based control panel but using something like remote desktop) you can just list as many domains as you like under website properties in iis.

As long as DNS is pointing all those domains to the same server, swapping where those requests go on the server is easy and changes take effect imediately (unlike actually making a DNS change which can take a while to propagate).

I think they sshould have forwarding, so if you click A or B they take you to C, right?

Like multiple names that go to the same place, you shouldn't have to modify the DNS settings. Just use the forwarding option.
