So who is going to go see this second shot at Eli Roth directing?

I think the plot has potential. But if Roth can pull it off is another thing. It is presented by Quentin Tarantino does that mean he is like producing it or what?

I will be going and seeing it openeing night, but will probably have to wait till the "unedited, uncut, directors cut, cut cut cut" to see the "real" version they won't show in US theaters

I was over at the Lions Gate forums and was reading some reviews of people at screens at the film festival it was shown at...oh man I need to get some cash saved up for next year so I can tour around film festivals! that is where all the good movies are shown.

I hope the MPAA doesn't destroy this like all other movies. But I think Eli will stick to his guns and only take out what is nescisary to get the R rating.

I got denied when I was over at the Devils Rejects site before that was released as well but what is up with that age checker thing? where you put in your name and age and zip code and country and it checks it...I am 19 (older then 17 if I remember math correctly) and yet it still denies me access to that part of the site...lame.

i put in my real D.O.B and i was let in fine.

maby they do have some sort of records, and if that is the case id like to know how they got my information..

SOO this is kinda late...but who saw it?!@

I had to wait till the second night! But it didn't even come out around me! So I drove 1-1.5 hrs to NH to see it. I am too lazy to write any sort of review of it but if you want a breakdown of the movie it goes like this

First Half: Sex/Drugs Second Half: Gore

LOTS AND LOTS of naked women more then any movie I can remember besides porn. And the gore was very realistic and the acting was very real in the rooms.

I saw it, I thought it was disgusting and a poor movie. I am incredibly disappointed that Tarantino put his name on it.

I think this says it best:

"Hostel is pure exploitation, ineptly made, and completely repulsive."

I think that it should have been more about the actual Hostel and the "elite hunters" I could have definitely done with out ALL that nudity and watse of half the movie. I hope Eli goes back to write the second. Lions Gate is already prepping for a Hostel 2, I really hope that Eli writes and directs it again or else it will be really horrible. They are trying to ride the success of it like Saw and then a year later Saw II. Quick turn around so people are still wanting more.
