    Earthlink? dial up hell? :(

So I am home for the summer and no one around here offers broadband. My mom has and has been using Compuserve for years(AOL's evil sister). I am wondering what kinda of options there is out there? I saw in a commercial something about earthlink dialup being 70x faster then other dial ups? how exactly does that work?

Yeah NetZero, AOL, and just about everyone else that does dialup claims to be 70x faster than their competitors. The truth is dialup is always slow...free is usually slower but all dial up is slow.

I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

some of them offer "speed boost" technology or some other equally stupid word for it. All it does is makes the code more efficient so pages can load a little faster. Downloads are still slow as hell.

Can't you even get dsl or somethin out there?

Maybe Castleton was where he went to college? The only other high-speed alternative I can see is satellite.
