    ????

What type of Video format are you talking of. Only certain file types are allowed into Flash. Check in the Import menu within flash for allowed file extensions.

are you talking about converting video to vectorised images like http://www.egomedia.com for example? If so a lot of people recommend wildform though i've never used it, check out the wildform forums here at FK.

here's the way i do it (i'm cutting and pasting this from a post i made in the design and graphics forum where there are lots of similar posts you can search for). You'll need a video editor such as premiere (or a free one like virtualdub) to tweak your video the way you want it before you export it :

    >the key is to export the video as a series of bitmaps, most video editors have this function. Then import the bitmaps into flash in a movie clip and sort thru them, taking out unnecesaary frames. Then trace each frame, using flash's trace bitmap tool, then go thru again and optimise each frame, using the optimise tool.

for the best results you want to create a video like the habitat one, where your subjects are simple filled outlines. You can get close to this is most editing programs by playing with colour depth and threshold tools. It's really a matter of experimentation, but try to film your video with as much foreground background contrast as possible.

once you have your video clip with optimised video frames in it you can use it where and however you like, using actionscript you can run through the movie clip backwards for example... stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down, etc and of course using effects on the instance on stage

there's no easy method to doing this and attention to detail gets you the best results.

Flash soes not support any video format except maybe swf video such as what conversion softwares will do for you. The only problem is you dont get much control from them other than playing them and qualty is not up to par with the deigital video codecs.

If you want to create high quality Flash video you need to convert video into jpg sequences and import into Flash. This is called simulated video and you can view a broadband demo at http://www.mantaproductions.com

If simultated video is what you are trying to accomplish then you will need memory optimization software to account for the flash players poor handling of image sequences. Without it a 3 MB movie clip could consume easily 100MB of your viewers ram. You can read more at the link above

    cheers

Not Directly, you have to view Quick Time with the QT player. Flash does not support any native video format but swf. like Flix, swideo.com, livetronix.com, vid2swf.com, and Adobes's aftereffects, and live motion to name a few
