    Alpha issues on stage

    Ok, This is frustrating.

In Flash 8 I created a web page with graphic buttons that link off to other pages. However I wanted to create another graphic that faded, rotated and zoomed in.

Afdter many hours of frustrating work, I finally created the instance as a movie clip, rotated it and zoomed it in, than took the movie clip and put it in the original page. It seems to work fine. the problem is trying to fade it in.

When I go to the movie clip and try to edit that into doing it, it won't allow me (the same place with the rotation and zoom aspects) And when I try to do it on the main page by placing it in another layer it creates a solid background that covers the main layer of the stage. And if I just place the clip onto the stage with all the other elements, if I put a keyframe in 15 frames later it adjusts the Alpha for all the elements.

    What am I missing?
