Comedians
I just listened to 2 Mitch Hedberg albums and Dave Attell while at work and looking for some other people to check out. I want to get David Cross's stuff as the bits I have heard on last.fm were pretty funny.
What do you all go to in your collections for a good laugh?

Lately I've been going to YouTube / MySpace and searching "improv" or "comedy central presents." Watch Demetri Martin's special.
If you can listen to raunchy comedy while at work, check out Kyle Cease (the Improv version, not the Comedy Central one.) (the guy who does the slow clap thing in the movie Not Another Teen Movie.).

Depends on what you've heard already.
You can't go wrong with Steve Martin and Richard Pryor.
Chris Rock's Bring the Pain and Bigger and Blacker are some of my all time favorites. I could recite them almost completely... and with good delivery.
Louis C.K. (the guy dane cook stole all his material from) can be hilarious.
David Cross's stuff is highly recommended.

I recently got a British series called Black Books.
... Please see if you can get your hands on it. Well worth it.

He has risen!
--dave attell's stuff is great...saw him live when i was in college, funny as hell
--steven wright has a similar style to hedberg...dry but kills with the punchline
--dane cook gets annoying after a while (saw his tourgasm special on HBO...he was horrible, i think the only reason why the crowd was laughing was because they spent $150/ticket)
--ray romano...surprisingly funny as a standup. his stuff is pretty tame and probably is lost on some of those people who aren't in a marriage type relationship or without kids, but i find him pretty funny...more chuckle laugh than anything else.
--lewis black...funny on tv, not funny through my headphones, and his jokes are only funny for the week that he made them up..i'd pass
--Dana Carvey...he had an HBO special in i think 1993(?), still makes me laugh to this day; "It's NAKED time!...Ping!"
--Denis Leary...no cure for cancer is one of my all time favorite albums.
--Cosby...any of his 1970's albums are great
Oh, and if you want to test the waters before you start downloading...rent the 'Aristocrats', there's about 60 comedians in that movie and some i never knew did stand-up

He has risen!
i thought Chris Rock was bad with the N word..Katt Williams takes it to a whole 'nother level. in the 30 minutes i watch his special the other day on HBO, i think he said the N word at least 200 times...and most of the time it had nothing to do with what he was saying, it was very overbearing.

yeah yeah yeah
I agree with a lot of those, but I gotta throw in a few more...

edit: forgot one - early Pablo Francisco (before he got hooked on whatever he's hooked on now)

Dane Cook was funny till he was featured on the Insomniac Tour then everyone seemed to quoted him and think he was the best comedian ever(wrong).
Pablo Fransisco's first Comedy Central stand up is hilarious- but his new dvd is just wow...he is definitely strung out on something.
Aristocrats is hilarious as well!
I have heard a lot of what has been listed but I need to find some full albums or ones I have yet to hear.
George Carlin is probably one of my all time favs to just have playing.

Bill Hicks, it's amazing how all his jokes about Bush (senior) and the war in Irak sounds as if he was referring to the current Bush and the current war in Irak. Everything else is amazing too. He's great

I just bought tickets to see Limmy's live show at the Edinburgh Fringe, he has a podcast on his site, not sure if you'll understand the humour though, it's pretty Scottish! :d
