    Highscores question

Not a technical question, but more of a "how would you do this" question...

Okay, so I have a little puzzle game. After the level is done, you get scores based on your time and the amount of moves you've made. Would it be a good idea to have per-level highscores?

I'm was thinking of having a "free play" mode where you can select any level that you've unlocked in "normal play" mode, so you can compete for the best score per level.

Or is all that just unnecesary? I'm not one that plays this kind of game online (more of a console rpg guy), so I'm not sure what people would enjoy...

    Any ideas?

For a puzzle game, yeah, level-specific highscores or best-times are pretty fun. I wouldn't worry about it though if you only have like 5 or 10 levels though.

I agree with IP Its fun to compete with others on a level to level-basis.
I don't have a photograph, but you can have my footprints. They're upstairs in my socks.
