Where to start?

Hi

I'm going to be starting a Flash 8 basic course at college in a couple of weeks.

I wanted to purchase Flash for myself so I could do do homework.

Can someone tell me if I would be better off purchasing the basic or professional version. I am new to this, so don't want to get myself to confused. Does the professional version do 'exactly' the same but has extra bits or are they quite different.

Also where is the best (cheapest) place to purchase?

If you're genuinely a student, then you could buy the Educational Version and save yourself a heap of cash !!

Also, try eBay...... there's some 2nd hand bargains to be had out there, only make sure that the seller is willing to transfer the license. Buying it 2nd hand but without a license transfer is pointless as you wouldn't be the legal owner

I would check to see if your college offers any discounts for softwares.
