Alright, I thought I'd make a thread on Optimization tips.
I've started it, please feel free to add:

Avoid using 'for' loops in (enterframe)
Use masks
Dont scale the movie (dont make it larger)
Use removemovieclip
Get the FPS counter from www.moock.org
