damn, im smooth
panorama slider with depth
basically, im trying to duplicate the atmosphere, here:
http://www.zelda.com/gcn/index.jsp
i want to create a panoramic world with some 3D depth to it.
i started with this tutorial on flashkit, as i've found it most helpful:
http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Effec...3660/index.php
the goal is a 3D dessert world. i have a base layer swf (just a blue sky) that loads in a whole bunch of foreground items, like a cactus and an old shack, using the above panoramic swf. the cactus and shack "live" on that one swf.
however, i'd like to have another panoramic layer behind that panoramic layer with distant background items, like hazy mountains and some clouds, -- only it'd be much wider so that it scrolls much slower -- emphasizing the 3D feel
right now, using the tutorial, base.swf loads in foreground.swf (cactus panorama) and background.swf (clouds and mountains panorama), however only one of them reacts to the mouse. the other holds still, and wont slide.
what code do i have to tweak to get both to move, independantly of one another? whats the best way to do that?
(be careful, im still a young coder! )
i'm not new to action scripting. i'm just bad at it.
