Group of people got stuck in the very cool looking elevator inside the brand new Apple Store in New York.

speaking of stuck elevators, i'd hate to be stuck in one while in labour and ready.
i believe this scenario occured in a few films...

When I was in the elevator going back down the Empire State Building there was a lcd display showing stuff in it and it kept crashing and getting fatal errors and some guy was trying to fix it from some remote location. Stuck in this packed elevator and all we had to do while going down 80+ floors was to watch this idiot just keep x'ing out of this fatal error box to only have it keep popping back up. Good thing that wasn't what was running the elevator.

When I was in HS I worked for a small insurance agency in the mail room, and had to run contracts / packages all over lower Manhattan. I was in the elevator in WTC 1 one time with a bunch of japanese business people when the elevator stopped for a few minutes, which was pretty normal when it was windy out. (The building used to sway a bit, and the elevator could knock around in the shaft.) I sat down and started reading while they freaked the hell out. It was pretty funny watching them try to leave like nothing had happened, meanwhile their collars were drenched with sweat.

i dont like when people waiting to get on the elevator surround the door waiting for it to open. leave room for people to get off at least damn.

That's almost as bad as when you hit the call button and someone walks right up and pushes the brightly ****ing lit button again!

no im pretty sure blocking people from getting off, or trying to get on before they can get off is worse. it slows everything down soooo much. i intentionally bump into people if they are blocking the way. those ****ers.
