im doing a simple

loadVariable(url,target,"POST")

on most isp's it works fine, n others, it won't connect. Thought typing the same url in the browser does connect to the page.......

ISP's that have the same uplink and downlink line work just fine. But if the ISP has a seperate line for the uplink ...then flash refuses to connect to the server. On the ISP's it works on, it doesn't matter whether i connect via a proxy server, or direct...it works fine. But, on the other ISP's it simply gives me a connection error....almost immediately..(in less than half the time a response usually comes back via the ISP's that work)

is there a way to get around this?? like telling flash to send everything through port 80? instead of whatever port it's using ?....

or any other suggestion....
