Hi Peeps,

Now be gentle with me Moderators, I am here to make a confession, and pay penance for my Swish sins, so keep that it mind before you go for the throat ! ;-)

Firstly I've got to say that I have been using Swish for a while now, although I am a relative newbie when it comes to actually posting to the Support Forum.

Like many newbies, once upon a time I too was a complete moron when it came to trying to suss out how to do "this" or "that" in Swish - and this place proved time and again to be an awesome and highly generous information sharing community - and like many others who come here, a lot of the really impressive techniques and tricks I learned over the past 12 months have mostly come from opening other peoples swish files and checking out the processes and procedures they used in order to make something happen.

The problem is that over that time I have 'used' so many of these impressive little "bells and whistles" on jobs I have done that I have lost count, and in a lot of ways, it is mostly the Swish-ified elements of some of these jobs, that seem to have captured the clients attention - and led to repeat work, or referrals to other jobs.

The point is, in my heart I KNOW that I didnt originally create whatever "effect" or sprite it was that led them all going "WoW!" - and despite the fact that I had customised the work to suit that particular client - I am now feeling guilty about using some of these things, I would like to "right my wrongs" by putting some kind of credit somewhere to the kind person in these forums who originally posted their work here, and helped all of us clueless newbies get a start, and give us the tools to sort through how to do all these wonderful things......

What is your advice peeps ? As a rule should we put something in the html header of our pages, or should we put some type of logo, some initials, or what ? I want to give these people the credit they deserve, because in my heart I know the original concept was not mine, and its making me feel like a scam artist by continuing to do it - and I would rather be as generous of spirit with those who help people like me through this Board, as they are with the rest of us.

Whats your advice ?
