March 23rd: SWF Decompiler Giveaway
I'm not sure how many people here are fans of Giveaway of the Day, but for those of you who aren't subscribed to the RSS feed, I thought today's offer was worth posting about. Basically, to help create buzz about products, they give away free licenses to software each day. Often they're screensavers or other useless programs, but every once in a while something rolls around that really grabs my attention. That would be what happened today:
Giveaway of the Day - SWF Decompiler 4.5
March 23, 2009
******* SWF Decompiler is a professional tool to convert SWF to FLA and extract elements from SWF into variable formats; exporting multi-file simultaneously supported. It’s compatible with all Flash versions including Flash 6/7/8 and Flash CS3 (9.0), supporting both ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0.
It extracts any element of the Flash movie into SWF, FLA or their common format, such as shapes, morph shapes, images, sounds, videos, frames, fonts, texts, buttons, sprites and ActionScripts. Flash player and catcher built-in.
I just installed it, and tried it out on my recent Falling With Style game. Really helps me see what sorts of things are available to people who want to crack my game.
Extremely impressive stuff -- this looks like a seriously good tool to keep around, and I wanted to post about it here for other budget-conscious developers like myself.
16 hours remaining!
